Pentatonix A Cappella Group Sings 'That's Christmas to Me'

When you think of Christmas, what thoughts come to mind? Rekindle those joyful memories as you listen along to Pentatonix sing their song ‘That’s Christmas To Me.’

“I see the children play outside, like angels in the snow
While mom and daddy share a kiss under the mistletoe
And we'll cherish all these simple things wherever we may be
Oh, why? 'Cause that's Christmas to me
I've got this Christmas song in my heart, I've got the candles glowing in the dark
I'm hanging all the stockings by the Christmas tree. Oh, why? 'Cause that's Christmas to me”

Such a lovely and warm Christmas song! The music video show the members of Pentatonix singing in a room filled with presents and a Christmas tree, as well as a chimney covered in festive stockings. As they sing the song, home videos flash across the screen of the group members from when they were children at Christmas time.

The song really encapsulates that nostalgic feeling that Christmas brings. ‘That’s Christmas to Me’ was part of Pentatonix’s third studio album, and this album was also the highest charting holiday album by a group since 1962.

‘That’s Christmas To Me’ was released in October 2014, and the song peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200. The song has also been certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Pentatonix's Kevin Olusola shared about the group’s original Christmas song and what it means to them. "We just wanted a song that focuses on the nostalgia of Christmas," he said. "For us, we are gone so much on the road. The only time we get to spend with family is during Christmas. So, we wanted to write a song that kind of focuses on that. We're just so happy how it turned out -- it's a simple song that people can truly gravitate to.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘That’s Christmas To Me’ by Pentatonix this holiday season!
